Reduce drivers’ speeds in school zones with scheduled flashing beacons. The R829-E is programmed to flash during designated school hours, notifying drivers to reduce their speeds to the appropriate school zone speed limit. Non-specialized maintenance crews can add this system to new or existing school speed limit signage in under an hour. Designed with a compact but efficient solar engine, the R829-E can operate reliably in northern locations where a typical solar-powered system would not be sustainable and would require frequent, avoidable battery replacements.
